Studies of New Layer Formation on the Surface of Zinc Doped Hydroxyapatite/Chitosan Composite Coatings in Biological Medium

Usually, before being used in biomedical applications, a biomaterials’ bioactivity is tested by vitro methods that simulate similar conditions to those found the human body. In this work, we report on synthesis of zinc-doped hydroxyapatite–chitosan (ZnHApC) composite coatings vacuum deposition method. The surface microstructure and chemical molecular modification after soaking DMEM (Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle’s Medium) were studied. For objective, techniques such as attenuated total reflection (ATR), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, metallographic microscopy (MM), scanning electron (SEM) applied used. Also, water contact angle measurements swelling studies made ZnHApC biological medium. coatings’ adherence substrate was also results antifungal against Candida albicans microbial strain reveal their good activity. biocompatibility using primary osteoblast cell line. Our suggest samples could be bioimplant material due enhanced biocompatibility.
